The Purses Are Being Delayed

Hate to say it, but I have to delay the launch of the new purses. Work has been very stressful lately and I haven't had the time needed to really get into creating them. I am hoping to have them ready to go for next week, along with announcing the winner of the naming contest. But to hold you over until then...there will be a new giveaway here starting tomorrow for a great necklace, s omake sure to check back.

Oh the downside of a day job.

So it's been a while since my last post. Things have been hectic and quite irritating at work lately. Anyway, I finally got my first sale last week so that was definitely cool. I've also been busy putting lots of new stuff up on my store, plus trying to get as many purses made before next Wednesday as possible. Also a quick name drop to flirtbuttons over at Etsy. I was lucky number 750 in sales for her. If you haven't seen her stuff, I definitely recommend checking it out here.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I've got a new piece up for St. Patty's day over at the shop...a nice green Celtic knot necklace. Perfect for the jewelry showcase that I'm in today. Hop on over to the shop and take a look: http://fatboydesign.etsy.com . Lots of new projects in the works as well. I'm going to be rolling out some minimalist necklaces in the next few days. These will be basic metal chain/pendant pieces...more budget priced around $10. The purses are also coming along nicely. I have pretty well nailed down the specs, along with the fabrics for the first run. The hardest part is still the name. I've received so many great ideas on here that it's going to be hard to choose the winner. I'll still be taking entries through the 27th, then it's decision time over the weekend. I'm also looking to start featuring different artist's shops on here, so if you have any ideas drop me a line and let me know why they should be featured. It may even be some of my followers. And don't forget the giveaway that's going to be popping up soon for April. It's going to be a great vintage-look piece that I'm sure anyone would love.

New Pictures

So I finally got around to pulling out all of my gear and taking new pictures of everything. So go check out the shop and see what you think of the new non-blurry and non-dark pictures...and you know...feel free to make a purchase while you're there :)

Pricing changes in my shop.

So I did a little readjusting of my prices. Not huge differences, just a little lower on most things to try and boost some sales. Almost everything has a flat price now depending on what it is...ie necklace, earrings, and so on. Go check it out...you know you want to.

Quick update on the purses...

So I've gotten a few very good ideas for the name so far. It's definitely going to be a hard decision at the end...might have to pass that on to my wife for the final say. I am planning on them hitting my Etsy store on April 1st...which will be just in time for my super-secret upcoming April birthday special, and also give me time to get enough made. Also, for anyone out there interested on getting their hands on one once they are posted...they will be going for $20 with free shipping to the U.S. and Canada. Keep posting those name ideas...you never know who might win.

The Super-Cool Contest

So I finally pulled out the sewing machine and started working on my new purse design. All I need now is a name to brand this particular line...that's where all of you come in. Give me your ideas for naming this purse line, and if I choose yours...you'll get a free one. I'm going to be doing them in all sorts of punkish fabrics, plus many in Asian print sari fabrics. Each one will have some sort of charm that fits with the theme of the fabric, along with the big decorative button to close it up. Sizes will vary, but each will be generally the same size: 12.5" W 6.5 H closed, 8.5" H open. Here's an even better deal for you...if you start following me on here and I pick your name, I'll throw in a matching necklace to go with the purse as well. First day...first post

So the site has been up for a few weeks now…finally. My jewelry making has been ramped up to get as much as possible on, and now it’s time to re-deirect the focus. I have let the sewing go the wayside, so it is definitely time to get to work on some of the new purse designs I have been working on. Hopefully they will come together easily and should be on the site soon. Keep checking back.
